What the signals mean

Tier 1 — Tail: Torvik model disagrees with the market by 8+ points. Bet Torvik's side.
Tier 1 — Boost: Same as Tail, but public betting tickets are on the opposite side. Stronger edge, 1.5 units.
Tier 2 — Conf: Conference-specific away edge (z≥2.0 on 2019–2026 data, so partly in-sample). Intra-conference games only, always bet the away team.
